The honorary citizenship is the highest municipal award of the Lower Franconian town of Lohr. Main . The following list of honorary citizens since 1866 is in alphabetical order of names. In addition, the city of Lohr also honors citizens with the ring of honor. The list is also attached.

With a resolution of January 30, 2008, the city council decided to remove the honorary citizens Otto Hellmuth , Ludwig Siebert and Karl Herold and Bruno Lippmann (both formerly Ruppertshütten) from the list of honorary citizens and to distance themselves from the appointments, because they came about through community bodies that were not democratically elected and therefore not properly legitimized as a result of the National Socialist conformity.
