For the sake of completeness, this list of Auckland train stations includes stations that have already been closed or are still being planned. All stations are owned by the ARTA company, which operates under the MAXX brand. The tracks are owned by Ontrack . Local traffic is operated by Transdev , long-distance traffic by Tranz Scenic .
Stations in bold are boundaries of the tariff zones.
Overview
Eastern line
This line runs from Britomart to Pukekohe on the North Island Main Trunk Railway route.

- The Strand is made up of platform 4 of the former Auckland train station. This station is only used for special trains.
- Panmure was moved a little further north in 2006.
- Sylvia Park will soon be reopened to serve the Sylvia Park shopping center and will then be located a little north of the previous station.
The southern line is also used between Westfield and Papakura.
Southern line
This line follows the route from Britomart via Newmarket to Westfield, and via the North Island Main Trunk Railway route to Pukekohe. Westfield station is also the largest freight station in the Auckland railway junction.
