Sparkasse and Museum | Sparkasse building (1936), architects: Jindřich Freiwald and Jaroslav Böhm. The two-story corner building of the Sparkasse with an irregular floor plan and flat roof stands on the northeastern part of the square. The entrance facade forms a kind of risalit and creates the transition to the conserved facade of the log house "Klemencovsko". The middle part with the entrances to the Sparkasse foyer and the museum is provided with arcades that extend over the staircase and the terrace and are decorated with two allegorical sculptures, a glassmaker (by Jaroslav Brychta) and a saver (by Ladislav Přenosil). Originally only the facade of the Klemencovsko log house, which stood in the area of the savings bank, was protected. Since November 23, 2018, the museum and the savings bank have also been under monument protection. |
