List of Finnish ambassadors in Afghanistan

The Finnish ambassador in Kabul represents the Finnish government to the government of Hamid Karzai .

The Finnish government opened an Afghanistan liaison office in Helsinki in autumn 2002 , which was headed by Tarja Laitiainen until 2005. At the same time, Timo Oula was head of a liaison office in Kabul , which was upgraded to an embassy on January 1, 2006. Timo Oula was chargé d'affaires there, who was promoted to ambassador on January 1, 2009 and was replaced in this function by Pauli Järvenpää on September 1, 2010.
