List of Spanish governors of Nuevo León
This is a list of the governors who ruled over the province of Nuevo León for the Spanish colonial administration in the viceroyalty of New Spain .
The Nuevo Léon province was established at the end of the 16th century. A governor ran the administration; the province was under the jurisdiction and administrative supervision of the Real Audiencia of Mexico . With the Bourbon reforms in 1786, the provincial administration was integrated into the Intendencia of San Luis Potosí.

With the independence of Mexico, Nuevo León became a federal state in the Empire of Mexico (1821-1823) .
