List of Trotskyist organizations
This is a list of Trotskyist organizations . Some of them claim to be part of the unbroken tradition of the Fourth International , which, in their view, either endured uninterrupted or was the subject of a re-establishment. Some of them have a lot in common and their orientation overlap very much. However, certain tendencies that see themselves as Trotskyist argue that the Fourth International no longer exists, and they do not seek reconstruction either. Others are of the opinion that the designation "Fourth International" is discredited to such an extent that a new Fifth International must be founded. Important distinguishing features are the relationship to social democracy and Stalinism . The organizations listed differ considerably in their membership: while some of them have several thousand followers, there are also organizations that have no more than a hundred or just a few dozen followers. If there are German branches of the organizations concerned, the German name has been adopted for the respective organization.
