IHS = Iesum Habemus Socium , 'We have Jesus as a companion' (Logo of the Jesuits )

Today (as of 2013) the company is divided into 83 provinces, 6 independent regions and 10 dependent regions (“83 provinces, 6 Independent Regions and 10 Dependent Regions”). The list does not claim to be complete or up-to-date.

The complexity of a geographical assignment in the constant change of a long history of the order is evident from sentences such as the following:

“The Upper German Order Province (1556 to 1773) included Bavaria, Eastern Swabia, parts of Württemberg, Vorarlberg, Baden, Alsace (until 1659), Switzerland and Tyrol. From the Upper German Order Province founded in 1556, the Austrian and Bohemian Order Province were separated in 1563, and in 1770 the Bavarian Order Province was separated from the Upper German Order Province. The Lower German Order Province, which was also founded in 1556, was divided into the Rhenish and Belgian Order Province in 1564, and the Rhenish Order Province in 1626 in turn into the Upper Rhine and the Lower Rhine Order Province. "

The new German Order Province, for example, includes the territory of Germany , Denmark and Sweden . Johannes Siebner , who took office on June 1, 2017, was appointed its new Provincial .
