Lithuanian Artists Association

The Lithuanian Artists Association ( lit .: Lietuvos dailininkų sąjunga ) is the association of professional Lithuanian artists. It is headquartered in Vilnius , where it runs several galleries.

It was founded in 1935 in the then Lithuanian capital Kaunas .

As a representative of artists, it stands up for the interests of its members, for example in matters of copyright and scholarship systems. In addition, it continuously informs its members about current tenders and competitions, especially abroad.

Their main activities also include hosting regular art exhibitions in their galleries. In addition to Vilnius and Kaunas ( Meno parkas ), it also has galleries in the Lithuanian cities of Panevėžys and Klaipėda . The Lithuanian Artists Association is also involved in the organization of various cultural events, such as the Kaunas Textile Art Biennale .
