Textile Art Biennial Kaunas
The Kaunas Textile Art Biennale ( Lithuanian Kauno bienalė ) is an international art biennial that has been taking place in Kaunas , Lithuania since 1997 , for the tenth time in 2015.
The biennale focuses on contemporary textile art . It is organized by the Lithuanian Artists Association in cooperation with the Textile Art Guild and the Kaunas Art Institute . Internationally, the Kaunas Textile Art Biennale has developed into an important event within the textile art scene. After modest beginnings, it is now taking place at various locations in Kaunas and also offers an accompanying educational program. During the past seven exhibitions, 1,200 works of art from more than 40 countries were shown.
