Lithuanian Agricultural Library
The Lithuanian Agricultural Library ( Lithuanian Lietuvos žemės ūkio biblioteka ) is a specialized library for agricultural literature in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius . There are 148,200 documents in its inventory, 129,100 of which are books and magazines. It is located in the old town of Vilnius , in Gedimino prospektas .
history
In 1924 the Ministry of Agriculture of Lithuania established the Library of Agricultural Literature. In 1969 the Library of Agriculture of Lithuania was established at the Ministry of Agriculture of Soviet Lithuania . In 1970 it became the republican science library. The library has been independent since 1992. Since 2002 she has been a member of Lietuvos mokslinių bibliotekų asociacija .
