License issue

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A licensed edition is the edition of a work by a publisher that has acquired the corresponding exploitation rights or ancillary rights from another publisher that owns the rights to the artist's work. This can affect reprints, prints as Paperback in Paperback binding or expenditure abroad. The contract stipulates, among other things, the profit sharing of the original publisher and the duration of the contract.
