Jessica Alonso Bernardo (born September 20, 1983 in Gijón ) is a Spanish handball player .

Career

Jessica Alonso played for SD Itxako until 2012 , with whom she won the EHF Cup in 2009 and the Spanish championship in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. After she ran up for the Serbian club RK Zaječar in the 2012/13 season, with whom she became champion, the 1.75 meter right winger was under contract with the French first division club HAC Handball from 2013 . In summer 2015 she joined ES Besançon .

Alonso made 97 appearances for the Spanish national team , scoring 202 goals. With Spain she won the silver medal at the European Championships in Macedonia in 2008 and bronze at the 2011 World Championships in Brazil and the 2012 Olympic Games in London .
