Lo Zingarelli

The " Zingarelli " is a classic monolingual dictionary of the Italian language in one volume.

The first edition appeared in 1917. The dictionary is published annually by the publishing house Zanichelli as Vocabolario della Lingua Italiana di Nicola Zingarelli . The 2017 edition contained more than 145,000 headwords, 380,000 meanings, 45,000 phrases, 9,000 synonyms , 2,000 antonyms , 11,900 literary quotations from 123 authors as well as overview tables with abbreviations, symbols, personal names, place names and Latin quotations.
