Lockyer is a district of Albany in the Australian state of Western Australia .
The place is in the west of Albany. The name is to be put in connection with Edmund Lockyer , the founder of Albany.
geography
Lockyer is about three kilometers northwest of downtown on the South Coast Highway .
In the north, the district borders on Orana and McKail , in the west on Gledhow , in the south on Mount Elphinstone , and in the east on Mount Melville .
Infrastructure
Lockyer is on the South Coast Highway and is served by the 808 bus. There are two schools in the village, Parklands School and Mount Lockyer Primary School .
In the village is the urban park Apex Park with the small lake Broke Inlet .
