Australian Bureau of Statistics
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is the Australian agency for statistics . It was established on December 8, 1905 as the Commonwealth Bureau of Census and Statistics (CBCS). The Canberra office has 2,824 employees.
In 1974 it was renamed to its current name.

The Authority shall, every five years, a census ( Australia Census of Population and Housing by). The results of the last census, which took place in 2016, were published on June 27, 2017.
