The trail was a German volume measure in Wesel . It was used as a measure of salt and was 180 liters at first , later only 177 liters.

  • 1 LOIP = 16 locker Cologne of 8 Quart

In 1482 the dimensional relationships were changed to:

  • 1 trail = 21 locks of 6 Cologne quarters each
