Loïs Lane is a Dutch band of the sisters Suzanne (born January 25, 1963) and Monique Klemann (born July 18, 1965). The group, named after the cartoon character Lois Lane , appears in the USA under the name Lois L due to legal problems .

history

The group was founded in 1984 by Monique. The original singer Angela left the group in 1985 and was replaced by Suzanne. In 1987 the group became a finalist in the Dutch Grand Prix and was offered a record deal. In 1988 they sang the theme song Amsterdamned for the film of the same name. The breakthrough came with the debut album Loïs Lane .

This success made Prince aware of the group. In 1992 they recorded the CD Qualified and the single Sex together and gained fame in the USA. In 1997 Loïs Lane wrote the theme song for the television series Combat .

Another small hit came in 2002 with the single When I'm With You . Monique has been active on her own since 2004 and appears regularly in the "Panama" in Amsterdam .
