history

On May 10, 1899, the " General of the Cavalry a. D., Privy Councilor Leopold Grafen Sternberg granted the requested concession to build and operate a standard-gauge local train from Kolin via Bečvar, Kohljanowitz and Rattay to Čerčan with a branch from Rattay to Kácov ” . Part of the concession was the obligation to start construction of the line immediately and to finish it within two years. The company's share capital totaled 3,196,400 crowns. On December 15, 1900, the line from Kolín to Rataje nad Sázavou was opened, the remaining sections to Čerčany and Kácov went into operation on August 6, 1901.

The operation was carried out by the kk Staatsbahnen (kkStB) on behalf of the local railway Kolin – Čerčan – Kácow. After the First World War, the newly founded Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) took over the management of the kkStB. On January 1, 1925, the local railway Kolin – Čerčan – Kácow was nationalized by law and the line was integrated into the ČSD network.

The route still exists. (As of 2009)
