Loki Patera

Voyager 1 adopts Loki-Patera

The Loki Patera is a volcano on Jupiter's moon Io . It is active at times, such as in 1979 when the Voyager 1 space probe flew by. In the crater is possibly a lava lake from basalt , the Loki Lake is called. At the edge, an approximately 200 km long trench with eruptions was found .
