London Conference (1930)

The London Conference (1930) dealt with India . The round table conference, which began on November 12th , saw 16 Indian princes, 57 representatives from British India and 13 representatives from British Parliament attending. Gandhi's Congress Party had not sent a delegate. Great Britain's idea of granting the subcontinent the status of a Dominion failed because of the necessary support. On January 19, 1931 , those involved went their ways again with no tangible result. Gandhi continued to plead for complete independence of his country.
