Lonpos
Lonpos (also Lon-pos or LONPOS ) is a family of puzzle games , often made up of twelve differently shaped parts, with which a flat piece of surface is to be filled or a four-sided pyramid is to be built.
Depending on the degree of difficulty, up to ten parts can be specified. If no part is given, there are 92,755 for a 5 × 11 rectangle and 306 different solutions for a 5 × 5 × 5 pyramid. According to the instructions 22.469, there are various solutions for the isosceles triangle-shaped area of the Lonpos 4D variant .
The series of games promotes logical thinking and three-dimensional imagination. In addition to the non-electronic game boxes, which are mainly made of plastic, video game versions and browser games are also available.
Lonpos won the English Gold Award of the National Association of Toy and Leisure Libraries in 2007. It was recently presented to a broader audience at the Didacta education fair in Basel in 2014 .
