Lord Kinnaird , of Inchture in the County of Perth , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .

Awarding and other titles

The title was awarded on December 28, 1682 by King Charles II to the royalist politician Sir George Kinnaird .

His great, great, great-grandson, the 9th Lord, was also raised to Baron Rossie , of Rossie in the County of Perth, on June 20, 1831 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom . Since his two sons died before him, he was also awarded the title Baron Kinnaird , of Rossie in the County of Perth, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on September 1, 1860 , this time with the special addition that this title was lacking male descendants can also be passed on to his brother Arthur and his male descendants. The latter inherited him accordingly in 1878 as 10th Lord Kinnard and 2nd Baron Kinnaird, while the Barony Rossie became extinct.

The two titles finally expired on February 27, 1997, with the death of his great-grandson, the 13th Lord, whose only son had died young.
