Lord Kirkcudbright
Lord Kirkcudbright was a hereditary British title ( Lordship of Parliament ) in the Peerage of Scotland .
The title was bestowed on June 25, 1633 as part of the celebrations for the coronation of Charles I as King of Scotland to Sir Robert Maclellan, 1st Baronet . This had been given the subordinate title Baronet , of Bombie in the County of Galloway, in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia as early as 1631 .
Both titles have been suspended since the death of his descendant, the 10th Lord, on April 19, 1832.
