Lorenzo Fontana

Lorenzo Fontana (born April 10, 1980 in Verona ) is an Italian politician of the Lega Nord . He studied political science at the University of Padua .

After the 2009 European elections he became a member of the European Parliament ( 7th session ); also in the 8th session he was a member of parliament.

In May 2018 he was appointed Minister of the Dipartimento per la Famiglia e la Disabilità ( e.g. Ministry of Family and Disabled People ); the Conte cabinet took office on June 1, 2018. On July 10, 2019, he moved to the Ministry of European Affairs, where he succeeded Paolo Savona .
