Lorne Leibel

Lorne Leibel (born January 14, 1951 in Toronto ) is a former Canadian yachtsman .

He took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal . With his cousin Allan Leibel , he sailed the Tempest boat on Lake Ontario . After finishing seventh and sixth in the first two races, however, he was tested positive for norephedrine in the doping control after the third race and was disqualified. Nevertheless, the two were allowed to continue to participate and after seven races still managed to place seventh in the final ranking.
