Los Angeles Zoo

The Los Angeles Zoo in Los Angeles is home to 1200 animals in approximately 350 species from around the world. The zoo is located in Griffith Park in the center of the city.

The park has been very successful in breeding programs for rare and endangered species. He excelled particularly with the California condor and helped to increase the number from 13 animals to several hundred in the eighties.

The Los Angeles City Council is responsible for this.
