Losamol

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Losamol is a reggae dialect band from the Allgäu . Losamol means “listen once” or “lend me your ear” and stands for “speak as you can get your beak”.

history

Losamol 2017

Losamol was founded in January 2011 by the singers Martin Folgmann and Benjamin Schehl. DJ Eduard Grams joined shortly afterwards, followed in 2013 by the two singers Jonathan Ettensberger and Thomas Schneider.

In August 2011 the band had their first hit at the Allgäuer Festwoche with their own debut single Nauf auf die Bank . Losamol now has its own monthly TV show "Luagamol".

In addition to the initial word of mouth advertising by fans, the band members became known through appearances on Bavarian television during the evening show or with their news for Südwild . Music videos with the Playmate of the Year 2013, Franzy Balfanz , or the stunt motorcyclist Dominik Csauth have several hundred thousand clicks on YouTube.

The musicians consider the Allgäu dialect, in which the “sch” is omnipresent, to be ideal for playing reggae. “Allgäu is comfortable German and Jamaican patois is comfortable English,” describes Martin Folgmann. The lyrics deal with love ( Du warsch mei Fehl ), home ( Griaßdana, stand up ) or celebrations ( Awa ).

Losamol appears in different compositions: with the basic group Losamol, in the marching band formation “Blosamol”, through an eight-person “Reggae Nix Anders” constellation, to the DJ program. The repertoire consists exclusively of own compositions.
