The Lotharinger Chorfrauenkirche in Münster

The Lotharinger Chorfrauenkirche is a former baroque church building in the Westphalian city of Münster .

The church on Hörsterstrasse was built by the Münster builder Johann Conrad Schlaun around 1764. The floor plan of the church is square with rounded corners, the brick building has a baroque portal with the coat of arms of the nobleman who financed the construction.

From its construction to the abolition of the monastery of the Lotharinger choir women in 1811, the church served as a monastery church and then for various purposes. During air raids on Münster in World War II , the church was completely destroyed and only externally restored. After the building was temporarily used as the city archive, it now serves as a branch of the registry office with representative wedding halls.
