In 1998 the Heimatbund Eldagsen erected a monument near the church of St. Alexandri in Eldagsen to commemorate the eight "disappeared villages " around the village.

Lottbergen was one of several villages in the Eldagsen district that were "depopulated" between the 14th and 16th centuries. The surviving residents settled in the better protected town of Eldagsen. Today remember field names to the eight desolate has become villages, but in particular also a 1998 statement drawn up by Heimatbund Eldagsen monument near the church St. Alexandri with an explanatory text panel and a summary sketch of the location of the former villages.
