Lotus Freelance Graphics is a presentation program from Lotus Development Corporation (now an IBM company ).

The program allows the user to incorporate text, images, drawings and diagrams (such as bar and pie charts) into a Microsoft PowerPoint- like slide show.

history

Freelance Graphics was the successor product to the presentation program Freelance Plus under DOS

The first version was released in early 1990 for the OS / 2 Presentation Manager . Data from Lotus 1-2-3 could already be integrated. In 1993 version 2.0 for OS / 2 2.0 and Microsoft Windows came onto the market.

Freelance Graphics is part of the Lotus SmartSuite for Microsoft Windows. The current version is 9.8 (as of October 2006).

File format

The files created with Freelance have the extension .prz, older versions save with the file extension .pre. Template files (so-called SmartMaster) have the file extension .smc. The file format itself is proprietary and cannot be easily read by other programs. With Freelance Graphics you can read, edit and save many foreign formats (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint ). However, there is a viewer for Windows that can be used to view the files.
