Louis Oppenheim
Louis Oppenheim (born May 4, 1879 in Coburg , † 1936 in Berlin ) was a German commercial artist and artist . Born in Coburg, Oppenheim studied in London from 1899 to 1906 .
Act
He then moved to Berlin and began his career as a commercial artist in 1910. In 1917 he received an award for his work on the war loan campaigns. He signed his works with "LO". His employers were: AES , Reichsbahn , Persil and Adrema . He shaped the “Berlin poster style”. Oppenheim also designed numerous logos such as the 'Lo-Schrift' (1914) for the Berthold type foundry and the 'Fanfare' (1927). He designed the first coin for the Weimar Republic in 1919.
