The Louisville Gardens is a multi-purpose hall in Louisville, Kentucky .

History and use

The building was designed by Brinton Beauregard Davis and was erected in 1905. The building is owned by the Louisville City Council and was designated a Grade I listed building in March 24, 1980. The hall was mainly used as an event building for basketball sports competitions . The building with an audience capacity of 6,000 is also used as a venue for concerts. British rock musician Eric Clapton performed here as part of his Behind the Sun World Tour in 1985.
