Lu Kang

Lu Kang (* 226 ; † 274 ) was a son of Lu Xun and a grandson of Sun Ce . He and his father were generals in the Wu Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms Period in ancient China.

He was praised for his talent and wisdom. He worked with Yang Hu , a general of the Jin Dynasty , to keep peace in the border regions of the two empires.

The then Wu emperor Sun Hao was a cruel tyrant. Although he did not suppress Lu Kang, he did not accept any of his suggestions. Soon after Lu Kang's death, the Jin Dynasty subjugated the Wu Empire and unified China.

Lu Kang had eight sons, the two youngest of whom became famous writers of the Jin Dynasty. His son Lu Jing's wife was Sun Hao's sister.
