Luangwa Valley Game Reserve

The Luangwa Valley Game Reserve was a game reserve established on May 27, 1938 in the African state of Zambia . However, the Second World War initially prevented that enough game rangers were available.

The abundant fauna is favored by the continuously flowing river Luangwa .

In 1972 the two parts of the Luangwa Valley Game Reserve were divided into the independent national parks of North Luangwa National Park and South Luangwa National Park .
