Lubor Bárta

Lubor Bárta (born August 8, 1928 in Lubná , † November 5, 1972 in Prague ) was a Czech composer.

Bárta studied musicology and aesthetics at the Charles University in Prague from 1946 to 1948 and was then a student of Jaroslav Řídký at the Academy of Performing Arts until 1952 and then lived as a teacher and freelance composer in Prague.

He composed three symphonies , a violin, a piano and a viola concerto, string quartets, piano pieces, a guitar, a flute and a harpsichord sonata and other chamber music.
