Luchy Soto (real Lucía Soto Muñoz ; born February 21, 1919 in Madrid ; † October 5, 1970 ibid) was a Spanish actress .

life and work

Soto, daughter of the theater actors Manuel Soto and Guadalupe Muñoz Sampedro , was already in front of the film camera at the age of fourteen; She not only appeared as an actress, but also as a singer and dancer. Her roles were varied and ranged from comedies to melodramas . In the 1940s, she became one of the second-tier female stars in Spain, starring alongside all of the great male idols of the time.

In the middle of the decade she concentrated on stage work and went on tour with her mother's theater troupe to South America ; her husband Luis Peña also belonged to this group. It wasn't until the late 1950s that she was back on screen; in addition, she played roles on television until her death.
