Luciano Michelini

Luciano Michelini (* 1945 ) is an Italian composer , pianist, organist and arranger.

Life

Luciano Michelini studied at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia and graduated as a pianist with Vera Gobbi Belcredi (1903–1999), in composition with Armando Renzi (1915–1985) and in orchestral direction with Franco Ferrara . From 1970 he taught at the Conservatorio di S. Cecilia , later at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra and at the Institut T. Ludovico Da Victoria .

From 1964 to 1982 he worked as a pianist and conductor for RCA (now BMG Ariola). He wrote the music for many films, such as Sergio Martino's The Island of New Monsters . 1993–94 he conducted the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese for the Pontificio Oratorio di S. Pietro in Rome. He came to television for the programs Ciao Italia and Stradivari . His best known piece is Frolic (Curb Your Enthusiasm) .
