Lucius Sextius Lateranus
Lucius Sextius Lateranus was from 376 to 367 BC. BC eight times Roman tribune .
Together with Gaius Licinius Stolo , he applied for the Leges Liciniae Sextiae , which gave plebeians access to the consulate . This bill also limited the amount of public land (ager publicus) that a person could own. Lateranus was born in 366 BC. First plebeian consul (with Lucius Aemilius Mamercinus ).
Due to the similarity to the events at the time of the Gracchi around 200 years later, it is not clear whether this part of the family history was simply invented by the chronicler Gaius Licinius Macer .
