Ludwig Brilmayer

Ludwig Brilmayer (born February 20, 1892 ; † unknown) was a German business leader.

Career

Brilmayer graduated from the University of Heidelberg with a doctorate in 1921 . After that he was in a leading position in the German coal industry. From 1944 he was managing director of the Oberbayerischen AG for coal mining. In this role he played a key role in the economic reconstruction of the pitch coal mining in Bavaria after the end of World War II . He secured the financing for the redesign and rationalization of the pits, so that the most modern plants were built in Germany.

In order to meet the housing shortage, he campaigned for the miners' settlement system.
