Ludwig Nieland

Ludwig Nieland (born September 27, 1867 in Münden , † after 1935) was a German judge .

Life

Nieland was sworn in in 1892. He received his doctorate in Göttingen when he was a trainee lawyer in Bremen. In 1897 he became a lawyer. In 1900 he moved to the bench and became a local judge. In 1907 he was appointed district judge. In 1912 he was promoted to higher regional judge. In February 1919 he moved from the Hamburg Higher Regional Court to the Reich Court . He worked for a long time in the 1st Civil Senate . He was the father of federal judge Gerda Krüger-Nieland . At his insistence, she studied law instead of art history or theater studies.
