The Air Traffic Licensing Regulations regulate the aircraft for which a traffic license is required and whether an entry is made in the aircraft register (aircraft role, air sports equipment directory). It also regulates the licensing procedure for airfields (airports, landing sites and glider airfields) and their noise-related operational restrictions. With the amendment dated March 30, 2017 ( Federal Law Gazette I p. 683 ), owners of a model aircraft, an unmanned aviation system, or balloons or kites when a certain take-off mass is exceeded, as well as owners of a self-propelled missile prior to its first operation for visible, fireproof identification with name and address required.
