Luise Neuhaus-Wartenberg
Luise Neuhaus-Wartenberg (born May 31, 1980 in Leipzig ) is a German politician of the party Die Linke and a member of the Saxon state parliament . She has been the 3rd Vice President of the Saxon State Parliament since October 1, 2019.
Life
Luise Neuhaus-Wartenberg is married and has one child. She studied philology and history and from 2009 to 2014 worked for Rico Gebhardt , the chairman of the parliamentary group Die Linke in the Saxon state parliament. In 2018 she successfully completed the compact course "Political Management & Public Affairs" at Quadriga University Berlin.

In 2009 Neuhaus-Wartenberg joined Die Linke. She is the chairman of the Northern Saxony district association and the Taucha branch of her party. In the state elections in 2014 and 2019, she ran in constituency 35 - North Saxony 2 and in 11th place on the state list of the Left. She succeeded in entering the Saxon state parliament via the state list. From 2014 to 2019 she was the spokesperson for medium-sized businesses, crafts and tourism for the Die Linke parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament and deputy chairwoman of the committee for economy, labor and transport. Since 2019 she has been the spokesperson for education policy and the interests of the eastern German states.
In 2014 Neuhaus-Wartenberg and Dominic Heilig were elected spokesmen for the Forum for Democratic Socialism , a movement in the Left Party, which is counted among the reform-oriented wing. Neuhaus-Wartenberg has held the office alone since Heilig's death in 2017.
From 2016 to 2019 Neuhaus-Wartenberg was deputy chairwoman of the Die Linke parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament, and until 2017 a member of the party executive committee and a member of the party executive committee.
On October 1, 2019, Neuhaus-Wartenberg was elected 3rd Vice President of the Saxon State Parliament at its constituent meeting.
