Luiz Caldas
Luiz Caldas (born June 24, 1963 in Feira de Santana , Bahia ) is a Brazilian singer and composer .
biography
Caldas was born in humble circumstances. He had his first stage appearances with various amateur bands when he was around ten years old. Until he could make a living from his music, he earned his living doing odd jobs in supermarkets, bars and bakeries. By mixing Bahian rhythms with reggae , pop and Caribbean sounds, he created a new style of music that helped him break through.
His first single was released in 1979 and his first LP was released the following year. During the 1980s he was a frequent guest on various television shows.
