Based on the number of employees, Lukoil Baltija is the fourth largest energy company and petrol station operator in Lithuania . It belongs to the Russian concern " Lukoil ". The company has a branch in the capital Vilnius ( Lukoil Baltija Vilniaus filialas ) and another in the middle town of Kėdainiai ( Kėdainių Kuro Bazė , UAB LUKOIL BALTIJA filialas). There is a trade union (Lukoil Baltija Darbuotojų Profesinė Sąjunga) based in Šeškinė (Vilnius) and an employee sports club ( Lukoil Baltija darbuotojų sporto klubas , Montuotojų g. 2, LT-89101 Mažeikiai).
history
The company was founded in November 1992 and the first petrol stations opened in 1994 . Outside Lithuania, the petrol station network was expanded to include Latvia and Estonia, with individual petrol stations also in Finland and Poland. In 2012 the company achieved a turnover of 2.5 billion litas , which is the equivalent of 724 million euros. In 2011 Lukoil Baltija employed 1153 people. In 2015 Lukoil sold its 37 petrol stations in Estonia to Aqua Marina , a company of the Estonian Olerex group. At the turn of the year 2015–2016, Lukoil announced that the 230 filling stations in Latvia, Lithuania and Poland will be sold to the Austrian company AMIC Energy Management .
