Luonan Basin

The Luonan Basin ( Chinese  洛南 盆地 , Pinyin Luonan pendi , English Luonan Basin ) is located on the upper reaches of the Nanluo He ( 南洛 河 ) River in the mountainous region of the eastern Qinling Mountains ( Qin Ling ) in central China.

In the years 1995–1997 important Paleolithic finds were discovered here and excavated under the direction of the Archaeological Institute of Shaanxi Province .
