The Handicraft Museum of Luostarinmäki ( Finnish Luostarinmäden käsityöläismuseo , Swedish Hantverksmuseet på Klosterbacken ) is an open-air museum in the II district of Turku , Finland . The museum consists of wooden houses built in the 18th and early 19th centuries that have been preserved in their original location. The area of the museum was the largest area that was not destroyed by a major city fire in 1827. When the museum opened in 1940, it was the only surviving old residential area in Turku. No structural changes have been made since the city fire. The interior of the houses was also not modernized, so that the museum gives a realistic impression of the living conditions at the beginning of the 19th century.

Contemporary handicrafts are made and sold in the museum.
