Lucifer is a painting by the German artist Franz von Stuck , one of the founders of the Munich Secession , from 1890. The painting belongs to Stuck's “dark monumental” phase and shows the image of a “male demon”. The canvas size is 161 × 152.5 cm.

history

The painting was sold to King Ferdinand I by Stuck's studio in Munich in 1891 for the royal collection in Sofia . On December 25, 1930 King Boris III transferred. the painting to the National Museum, from 1948 it became part of the National Art Gallery . In 1985 it was transferred to the National Gallery of Foreign Art, and in 2015 to the Fund Gallery "Square 500".
