The MÁV XIVa was a tank locomotive series of the Hungarian State Railways MÁV for local rail traffic. An identically constructed locomotive was also procured from the private Kaschau-Oderberger Bahn KsOd as the XIVa series . The ČSD took over five pieces from the MÁV (401.001–005) and one from the KsOd initially as 410.101, which was later renamed as 410.006.

The MÁV gave the first six machines the company numbers 5801-5806. After renumbering and delivery of the remaining 34 locomotives, they were then 6801–6840. From 1911 they were 475.001-040.

The appearance of the vehicles was characterized by their outer frame, the Heusinger control and the extended smoke chamber. The last axis had 14 mm side play.

All 41 machines described here were built by MÁVAG in Budapest .

The XIVa series at the KsOd

In 1909, the KsOd procured one of the tank locomotives that had proven itself in Hungary for the Tatralomnice local railway ( Studený Potok – Tatranská Lomnica ), on which it ran. It was designated as XIVa 541.

The 410.0 and 410.1 series in Czechoslovakia

After the First World War, the ČSD received five copies of the Hungarian series 475 as 410.001−005. In detail, these were the 475.003, 004, 008, 038 and 039. When the KsOd was nationalized in 1924, the 541 first came to the ČSD as the 410.101, which it finally, when it was noticed that they already had identical locomotives from the MÁV classified as 410,006.

The 410.0 series was retired by 1951.
