As a Type 106 , the designated Budapest Maschinenfabrik MÁVAG a series of narrow tank locomotive for Bosnian track (760 mm).

history

The type 106 had its greatest distribution at the end of the First World War and in the 1920s. The number of locomotives produced is not known; one example made in 1915 with the serial number 3575 and a locomotive made in 1940 with the serial number 4879 are known from the literature. During the construction, the manufacturer abandoned the previously familiar design characteristics (outer frame, elliptical windows).

The locomotive with the factory number 3575 was manufactured as number 3 for the former Považská lesná železnica (Waagtal forest railway). Allegedly it was awarded to the former Ružomberok – Korytnica narrow-gauge railway , but the exact dates are not documented. The other dates of use are not known either, only one photo shows the locomotive in the 1960s on the former electric forest railway in Ľubochňa . At the State Forest Railways (Státní lesní dráha; SLD) it is said to have carried the number U 33.905.

The machine, manufactured in 1940 under the factory number 4879, was in use from 1941 as MÁV 394.201 on the Ungwar - Radvánc forest railway . When the traffic area fell to the Soviet Union in 1945, it remained there. In the 1950s it was retired.
