history

The steam locomotives of the MÁVAG type 75 were one of the most numerous locomotives of the Budapest locomotive manufacturer. It was used on routes with a light profile and weak operation in southern Hungary and was mainly supplied to non-public railways. Around 80 locomotives were built between 1906 and 1914.

technical features

The locomotive has an outer frame and axles with Hall cranks that are rigidly mounted in the frame. Not all technical data are known from her.

commitment

It is known that three locomotives were used on the Borszatalbahn and the former Uzhhorod - Radwanka forest railway during the Second World War . There they bore the numbers 399.006 and 399.051 . A third locomotive is said to have carried the number 398.003 during the same mission , but this is not documented.

Photos of the locomotives show the use in Zsombolya as JDŽ 70-001 around 1938, at Čiernohronská železnica and still in 1971 in Voislove at the CFF .
